NOW HIRING – Kīlauea Recovery Contract Employment Opportunities
The County of Hawai‘i is accepting applications for temporary, full-time contract employment for the following positions:
Provide executive-level leadership for County departments and community partners delivering disaster recovery funding and related reconstruction, mitigation, relocation, resilience, and other recovery programs.
Oversee the development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the County’s disaster recovery plan; integrate disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, and climate change policies and plans across the County to ensure effective implementation of recovery plan and initiatives.
Coordinate the activities of Department staff, consultants and community partners to conduct community engagement and planning studies.
Manage and coordinate activities of disaster recovery program leadership, including the County senior leadership team for recovery, the teams supporting recovery support functions, and other working groups or committees
Lead database disaster recovery design, implementation and monitoring as a key database services expert across DIT and County Departments; perform software review, evaluation, recommendation, design and implementation for recovery database management tools.
Target Start Date: Fall 2019
Term: Temporary up to four years, with the possibility to extend based on the availability of funding and the County’s business needs.
